Varför informerades Remus inte om att Secret Secretare hade ändrats? Jag menar de enda som visste var James, Lily, Sirius och Peter i hela Orden. Du skulle tänka på Remus, som en av deras bästa vänner och en Marauder själv, att de skulle ha informerat honom. Nu vet jag inte om det var som en fullmåne eller om jag läser över någonting i Fångare av Azkaban , men har någon svar, eller åtminstone en teori?

Detta diskuteras av Remus och Sirius när Peter bad dem att inte döda honom i den skrikande hyllan i slutet av Fångare av Azkaban . Anledningen var att de inte visste vem spionen var och Remus var en misstänkt.

“Remus!” Pettigrew squeaked, turning to Lupin instead, writhing imploringly in front of him. “You don’t believe this ... wouldn’t Sirius have told you they’d changed the plan?”

“Not if he thought I was the spy, Peter,” said Lupin. “I assume that’s why you didn’t tell me, Sirius?” he said casually over Pettigrew’s head.

“Forgive me, Remus,” said Black.

“Not at all, Padfoot, old friend,” said Lupin, who was now rolling up his sleeves. “And will you, in turn, forgive me for believing you were the spy?”

“Of course,” said Black, and the ghost of a grin flitted across his gaunt face. He, too, began rolling up his sleeves. “Shall we kill him together?”

I realized what Peter must’ve done . . . what I’d done. . . .”

Detta gjordes av Sirius i tron att bluffen Voldemort och hans anhängare skulle komma efter Sirius var ett bättre alternativ, utan att veta att Peter redan hade sålt ut till Voldemort.

“Lily and James only made you Secret-Keeper because I suggested it,” Black hissed, so venomously that Pettigrew took a step backward. “I thought it was the perfect plan . . . a bluff. . . . Så i princip var de enda som visste de som var där. Petrus förrådde Potters till Voldemort, och han lyckades flykten strax efter att Potters dödades när Sirius kom för honom. Därefter var Sirius på väg och trodde att han var ansvarig, och den enda som förstod honom var tydligen död.
