DOCTOR: Very well, Chancellor Flavia. You will return to Gallifrey immediately and summon the High Council. You have full deputy powers until I return. I shall travel in my Tardis.

FLAVIA: Oh, but Doctor -

DOCTOR: You will address me by my proper title. I am President, am I not? You will obey my commands. (To Tegan and Turlough) Into the Tardis. (To the guards) You will escort Chancellor Flavia back to her duties.

Till min vetskap har det aldrig varit uttryckligt besökt igen, det var en historia från 1978, de brukade bara använda den som en plot-enhet och glömde allt om det. I slutet av episoden fortsatte doktorn med K-9 MkII, och nästa episod öppnas nästan direkt efter det. Tekniskt antar jag att han fortfarande är president för den tiden, om inte titeln avlägsnades för frånvaro. De finaste punkterna i Gallifreyan är inte min starka punkt.

Om inte någon författare tar upp det här och knyter upp den här plotpunkten antar jag att vi aldrig kommer att veta säkert.

Tekniskt sett gick han aldrig tillbaka, han lämnade precis och kom aldrig tillbaka och jag tror att det var Romana som andra ansvarig. Med Gallifrey i sitt nuvarande tillstånd är han fortfarande presidenten, bara ... med svårigheter.
