Harry Potter valde att komma tillbaka från de döda eftersom han var dödens herre. Men hur kunde han vara dödsmästaren som han aldrig hade den äldste Wand?
Om Harry kunde komma tillbaka betyder det att Dumbledore också kunde komma tillbaka från de döda? Varför / varför inte?
När allt hade Dumbledore de tre dödliga Hallowsna. Han ägde äldste Wand och uppståndelsestenen och osynlighetsklädseln. Han skickar kappan till Harry, men han ägde det fortfarande: du kan ge någonting till någon men du är fortfarande ägare till den.
Så när du dör som dödsmästaren har du möjlighet att komma tillbaka. Dumbledore dog som mästare för döden men han kom aldrig tillbaka.
betyder det att Dumbledore inte valde att komma tillbaka eller att han inte kan och Dödshallarna inte fungerar så här?
Det finns många grundläggande fel i din fråga själv. Jag föreslår verkligen att du går tillbaka och läser böckerna eftersom din förståelse för både Hallows och Harrys uppståndelse är fel.
För det första var Harry ägare till äldste Wand som vann den från Draco Malfoy när han flydde från Malfoy Manor. Draco blev ägare till äldste troll när han avväpnade Dumbledore i slutet av halvblodsprinsen. Båda dessa punkter förklaras i boken.
Dumbledore ägde sedan aldrig osynlighetsklädan, det tillhörde James Potter. Dumbledore lånade bara det för att undersöka misstänkt att det var en av Hallowsna. Efter Potters död behöll han det helt enkelt tills Harry kom till Hogwarts och sedan skickade den till Harry under sitt första år och berättade för honom att kappan en gång tillhörde sin far.
Och viktigast kom Harry inte tillbaka från de döda eftersom han kunde förena Hallowsna. Han kom tillbaka från de döda, för när Voldemort dödade dödsbölden på Harry, dödade han en del av sin egen själ som levde inne i Harry (som Harry var Horcrux som han aldrig hade för avsikt att göra).
Även om en person kan förena alla Hallows tror jag inte att de får möjlighet att komma tillbaka från de döda. Som det förklaras i böckerna var Hallows bara mycket kraftfulla magiska föremål som skapades av guider och hela läget om hallows ägare som "Master of Death" var bara en saga som baserades på dessa kraftfulla magiska objekt.
“So it’s true?” asked Harry. “All of it? The Peverell brothers—”
“—were the three brothers of the tale,” said Dumbledore, nodding. “Oh yes, I think so. Whether they met Death on a lonely road . . . I think it more likely that the Peverell brothers were simply gifted, dangerous wizards who succeeded in creating those powerful objects. The story of them being Death’s own Hallows seems to me the sort of legend that might have sprung up around such creations.
“You. You have guessed, I know, why the Cloak was in my possession on the night your parents died. James had showed it to me just a few days previously. It explained so much of his undetected wrong-doing at school! I could hardly believe what I was seeing. I asked to borrow it, to examine it.”

Anledningen till att Harry inte döde förklarades också av Dumbledore. Anledningen till det var inte Hallows, trots att Harry var ägare till alla tre Hallows när han gick till skogen för att möta Voldemort.
“But you’re dead.” said Harry.
“Oh yes,” said Dumbledore matter-of-factly.
“Then . . . I’m dead too?”
“Ah,” said Dumbledore, smiling still more broadly. “That is the question, isn’t it? On the whole, dear boy, I think not.”
“But . . . ” Harry raised his hand instinctively towards the lightning scar. It did not seem to be there. “But I should have died—I didn’t defend myself! I meant to let him kill me!”
“And that,” said Dumbledore, “will, I think, have made all the difference.”
“I let him kill me,” said Harry. “Didn’t I?”
“You did,” said Dumbledore, nodding. “Go on!”
“So the part of his soul that was in me . . . ”
Dumbledore nodded still more enthusiastically, urging Harry onward, a broad smile of encouragement on his face.
“. . . has it gone?”
“Oh yes!” said Dumbledore. “Yes, he destroyed it. Your soul is whole, and completely your own, Harry.”
“But if Voldemort used the Killing Curse,” Harry started again “and nobody died for me this time—how can I be alive?”
“I think you know,” said Dumbledore. “Think back. Remember what he did, in his ignorance, in his greed and his cruelty.”
“He took my blood.” said Harry.
“Precisely!” said Dumbledore. “He took your blood and rebuilt his living body with it! Your blood in his veins, Harry, Lily’s protection inside both of you! He tethered you to life while he lives!”
“I live . . . while he lives! But I thought . . . I thought it was the other way round! I thought we both had to die? Or is it the same thing?”
“You were the seventh Horcrux, Harry, the Horcrux he never meant to make. He had rendered his soul so unstable that it broke apart when he committed those acts of unspeakable evil, the murder of your parents, the at- tempted killing of a child. But what escaped from that room was even less than he knew. He left more than his body behind. He left part of himself latched to you, the would-be victim who had survived.
“He took your blood believing it would strengthen him. He took into his body a tiny part of the enchantment your mother laid upon you when she died for you. His body keeps her sacrifice alive, and while that enchantment survives, so do you and so does Voldemort’s one last hope for himself.”
“Without meaning to, as you now know, Lord Voldemort doubled the bond between you when he returned to a human form. A part of his soul was still attached to yours, and, thinking to strengthen himself, he took a part of your mother’s sacrifice into himself.”
Harry sat in thought for a long time, or perhaps seconds. It was very hard to be sure of things like time, here.
“He killed me with your wand.”
“He failed to kill you with my wand,” Dumbledore corrected Harry. “I think we can agree you are not dead.

Nej, Dumbledore ägde aldrig den. Harry fad ägde den, och passerade den tillsammans med allt annat till Harry. Dumbledore var helt enkelt i besittning av det för att han hade lånat innan Harrys föräldrar dödades.

Det finns också biten i plattformen 9 3/4 där Dumbledore nämnde att en stor del av Harrys förmåga att inte dö från förbannelsen var relaterad till Harrys vilja att offra sig för andra. Harry valde att gå ut till skogen och veta att han troligen skulle bli dödad. Dumbledore var aldrig i en position där han ägde alla tre objekten samtidigt och hade det valet att göra.
Dumbledore var aldrig dödens herre.
På den tiden var han i besittning av äldste Wand och uppståndelsestenen, var Harry i besittning av osynlighetskläderna.
Harry var inte dödsmästaren när han dog, eftersom han inte ägde den äldste Wand. Det finns inget konkret svar på varför Harry överlevde. De flesta teorier ligger kring antingen Horcrux inuti Harry som dödas i stället för honom eller Harry som har den äldste Wands trohet när den slog honom ner.
Dumbledore var död. Harry var inte det. Det fastställs av själva texten:
“But you’re dead.” said Harry. “Oh yes,” said Dumbledore matter-of-factly. “Then . . . I’m dead too?” “Ah,” said Dumbledore, smiling still more broadly. “That is the question, isn’t it? On the whole, dear boy, I think not.”
Harry kom tillbaka från "King's Cross", inte de döda. Dumbledore, som faktiskt var död, kunde inte återvända från "King's Cross" eftersom han bara var närvarande i Harry's minds version av King's Cross.
Boken är också tydlig att allting händer i Harry's head.

Precis som så många andra gånger i böckerna var Dumbledore smart och gjorde mycket välutbildade gissningar. Han var ganska säker på att Harry var en horcrux som skulle förstöras. Han visste också att Harry skulle välja döden över att låta hans vänner bli skadade. När han sa att upplevelsen var "riktig" men fortfarande allt i hans huvud antog jag alltid att han menade att Dumbledore var närvarande på något riktigt men magiskt sätt.
Han var ju den mest kraftfulla trollkarlen i världen och stavar kan uppför och pratar som riktiga människor (se Tom Riddles horcrux / minne i CoS, porträtten kring Hogwarts, howlers etc.). Medan 100% teoretiskt ser jag två möjligheter:
I grund och botten: Dumbledore kan inte komma tillbaka eftersom han är närvarande, men inte riktigt där.
Även om jag håller med de andra svaren att frågeställaren verkar ha missförstått Hallows vill jag påpeka att även om Dumbledore skulle ha kunnat komma tillbaka, skulle han inte göra det.
Harry Potters primära tema handlar om att övervinna rädslan för döden:
Death is an extremely important theme throughout all seven books. I would say possibly the most important theme. (Accio-quote)
Voldemorts främsta personlighetsdrag, och den som definierar honom mest, är hans rädsla för döden.
Voldemort's fear is death, ignominious death. I mean, he regards death itself as ignominious. He thinks that it's a shameful human weakness, as you know. His worst fear is death, but how would a boggart show that? I'm not too sure. I did think about that because I knew you were going to ask me that.
“There is nothing worse than death, Dumbledore!” snarled Voldemort.
Detta är också hans största svaghet:
“Your failure to understand that there are things much worse than death has always been your greatest weakness—”
Faktum är att alla de dåliga killarnas främsta drag verkar vara baserade på rädsla för döden

Only innocent lives, Peter!” “You don’t understand!” whined Pettigrew. “He would have killed me, Sirius!”
De goda killarnas definierande karaktär är dock deras vilja att omfamna döden. Detta framgår av den första boken:
"To one as young as you, I'm sure it seems incredible, but to Nicolas and Perenelle, it really is like going to bed after a very, very long day. After all, to the well-organized mind, death is but the next great adventure. You know, the Stone was really not such a wonderful thing. As much money and life as you could want! The two things most human beings would choose above all -- the trouble is, humans do have a knack of choosing precisely those things that are worst for them."
Detta uttrycks också på många andra ställen i böckerna, men här är en av mina favorit citat:
“THEN YOU SHOULD HAVE DIED!” roared Black. “DIED RATHER THAN BETRAY YOUR FRIENDS, AS WE WOULD HAVE DONE FOR YOU!”
Och Snape blir bara bra när han verkar omfamna döden:
“DON’T!” bellowed Snape. “Gone . . . dead . . .” “Is this remorse, Severus?” “I wish . . . I wish I were dead. . . .”
Dumbledore, fastän han aldrig tydligen hade en rädsla för döden, visade sig sig vara självisk och ville övervinna döden och tror att hans själviskhet kan få honom att föranleda honom att undvika att offra sig för Ariana (enligt hans åsikt) p>
“I know how you are feeling, Harry,” said Dumbledore very quietly.
Det är i mina tankar en av de viktigaste förbisedda citaten i boken (och en som kommer att vara av yttersta vikt i Fantastic Beasts-filmerna.) Det citatet kommer strax efter att Harry skyller sig för Sirius död:
It was his fault Sirius had died; it was all his fault.
Det betyder att, liksom Harry, Dumbledore också skyllde sig för någons död, och i senare böcker upptäcker vi att det var Arianna.
“Don’t hurt them, don’t hurt them, please, please, it’s my fault, hurt me instead . . .”
“He thought he was back there with you and Grindelwald, I know he did,” said Harry, remembering Dumbledore whimpering, pleading. “He thought he was watching Grindelwald hurting you and Ariana. . . . It was torture to him, if you’d seen him then, you wouldn’t say he was free.”
All those closest to Albus — and I count myself one of that lucky number — agree that Ariana’s death, and Albus’s feeling of personal responsibility for it (though, of course, he was guiltless), left their mark upon him forevermore.
Och vi vet varför han kände sig skyldig - för att han ignorerade sin syster medan han försökte övervinna döden:
“And at the heart of our schemes, the Deathly Hallows! How they fascinated him, how they fascinated both of us! The unbeatable wand, the weapon that would lead us to power! The Resurrection Stone — to him, though I pretended not to know it, it meant an army of Inferi! To me, I confess, it meant the return of my parents, and the lifting of all responsibility from my shoulders. “And the Cloak . . . somehow, we never discussed the Cloak much, Harry. Both of us could conceal ourselves well enough without the Cloak, the true magic of which, of course, is that it can be used to protect and shield others as well as its owner. I thought that, if we ever found it, it might be useful in hiding Ariana, but our interest in the Cloak was mainly that it completed the trio, for the legend said that the man who united all three objects would then be truly master of death, which we took to mean ‘invincible.’ “Invincible masters of death, Grindelwald and Dumbledore! Two months of insanity, of cruel dreams, and neglect of the only two members of my family left to me. “And then . . . you know what happened. Reality returned in the form of my rough, unlettered, and infinitely more admirable brother. I did not want to hear the truths he shouted at me. I did not want to hear that I could not set forth to seek Hallows with a fragile and unstable sister in tow. “The argument became a fight. Grindelwald lost control. That which I had always sensed in him, though I pretended not to, now sprang into terrible being. And Ariana . . . after all my mother’s care and caution . . . lay dead upon the floor.”
Harry å andra sidan är alltid porträtt som osjälvisk:
“Do not misunderstand me,” he said, and pain crossed the face so that he looked ancient again. “I loved them. I loved my parents, I loved my brother and my sister, but I was selfish, Harry, more selfish than you, who are a remarkably selfless person, could possibly imagine.
Således kan bara Harry, som är osjälvisk och ren och har ingen rädsla för döden, kunna välja osjälviskt att leva.
Men Dumbledore, även om hans besittning av Hallowsna gjorde det möjligt för honom att välja livet, skulle inte ha, för han visste iboende att hans val skulle innefatta viss själviskhet och lust att leva och var således inte rent osjälviskt.
