Den Mörsta Herren trodde troligen inte om de andra två Hallowsna.

Dumbledore förklarar till Harry när de möts i kungens kors, att han inte tror att den mörka lorden visste om Hallowsna, eftersom han vred ringen som innehöll uppståndelsesstenen i en horcrux utan att någonsin ha förstått vad stenen egentligen var.

“And Voldemort never knew about the Hallows?’

‘I do not think so, because he did not recognise the Resurrection Stone he turned into a Horcrux.”

Den Mörsta Herren trodde aldrig om Hallowsna, så därför kunde de inte välja att söka dem.

Även om han gjorde det skulle han troligen inte ha varit intresserad av dem.

Dumbledore säger också att om den mörka lorden var känd om Hallowsna, det var osannolikt att han skulle ha något intresse för kappan eller stenen, han skulle fortfarande bara vilja ha äldre Wand.

“But even if he had known about them, Harry, I doubt that he would have been interested in any except the first. He would not think that he needed the Cloak, and, as for the stone, whom would he want to bring back from the dead? He fears the dead. He does not love.”

Så om han hade känt till Hallowsna, skulle han troligtvis inte leta efter alla tre av dem, då den enda han ville ha var den oslagbara Wand att använda mot Harry.

    

Harry själv tänker på detta i kapitel 22 när han inser att Voldemort är efter äldste Wand:

Voldemort had been raised in a Muggle orphanage. Nobody could have told him The Tales of Beedle the Bard when he was a child, any more than Harry had heard them. Hardly any wizards believed in the Deathly Hallows. Was it likely that Voldemort knew about them?

Harry gazed into the darkness.... If Voldemort had known about the Deathly Hallows, surely he would have sought them, done anything to possess them: three objects that made the possessor master of Death? If he had known about the Deathly Hallows, he might not have needed Horcruxes in the first place. Didn’t the simple fact that he had taken a Hallow, and turned it into a Horcrux, demonstrate that he did not know this last great Wizarding secret?

Which meant that Voldemort sought the Elder Wand without realizing its full power, without understanding that it was one of three... for the wand was the Hallow that could not be hidden, whose existence was best known... The bloody trail of the Elder Wand is splattered across the pages of Wizarding history...

Visserligen antar Harry att Voldemort inte visste om de dödliga Hallowsna av tre skäl:

Voldemort skulle troligen aldrig ha hört talas om dem, växer upp som en Muggle.

Att han inte sökte dem tyder på att han inte kände till dem.

Att han gjorde en Hallow i en Horcrux indikerar att han inte inser vad det var.

Voldemort visste bara om äldste Wand eftersom den äldste Wand hade egen historia, oberoende av Hallowsna. Voldemort visste om äldste Wand som äldre stav, inte dödligt Hallow.

Nu kan vi spekulera om Voldemort skulle ha sökt Hallows om han hade känt om dem. För det första finns det alltid möjligheten att, som Hermione, han inte skulle tro att legenden var sann. Men om han skulle tro att det var sant?

Dumbledore, för en, tycktes tro att Voldmeort inte skulle bry sig om Hallowsna. I kapitel 35 berättar han för Harry:

"But even if he had known about them, Harry, I doubt that he would have been interested in any except the first. He would not think that he needed the Cloak, and, as for the stone, whom would he want to bring back from the dead? He fears the dead. He does not love."

Men är detta ett giltigt argument? Även om Voldemort inte skulle ha någon nytta för de andra två Hallowsna, kan han fortfarande inte söka dem för att förena de tre Hallowsna och bli dödsmästare?

Faktum är att Dumbledore själv medgav att när han och Grindelwald sökte Hallowsna, behövde de inte verkligen Invisibilty Cloak, men de sökte ändå för att slutföra setet och bli oövervinnliga (min betoning):

"And the Cloak... somehow, we never discussed the Cloak much, Harry. Both of us could conceal ourselves well enough without the Cloak, the true magic of which, of course, is that it can be used to protect and shield others as well as its owner. I thought that, if we ever found it, it might be useful in hiding Ariana, but our interest in the Cloak was mainly that it completed the trio, for the legend said that the man who united all three objects would then be truly master of death, which we took to mean 'invincible.'

Det är sålunda möjligt att Voldemort skulle ha känt på samma sätt och hade sökt alla Hallows för att förena dem för att erövra döden, även om han inte hade någon nytta för två av dem.
