Fawkes fick Dumbledore ut ur kontoret med phoenix magi.

Det framgår tydligt i boken att Fawkes var ansvarig för hans och Dumbledores plötsliga försvinnanden. Dumbledore griper på Fawkes svans och sedan försvinner de i en blixtlampa.

“Fawkes circled the office and swooped low over him. Dumbledore released Harry, raised his hand and grasped the phoenix’s long golden tail. There was a flash of fire and the pair of them were gone.

‘Where is he?’ yelled Fudge, pushing himself up from the floor. ‘Where is he?”

Dumbledore kontrollerar förtrollningen på Hogwarts som förhindrar trollkarlar från att kunna uppenbara och disapparate där, så han lätt kunde lyfta den tillfälligt för att låta sig vara Apparate eller Disappate.

“As you may know, it is usually impossible to Apparate or Disapparate within Hogwarts. The Headmaster has lifted this enchantment, purely within the Great Hall, for one hour, so as to enable you to practise. May I emphasise that you will not be able to Apparate outside the walls of this Hall, and that you would be unwise to try.”

Men trots att det var möjligt att Dumbledore kunde uppträda i Hogwarts, så är det inte vad som hände när han och Fawkes flydde från Fudge.

Apparitionen har ingen blixtlampa när en trollkarl försvinner, det är bara en pop och de är borta.

När en Phoenix använder sin kraft för att försvinna, finns det en blixtlampa.

“Dumbledore was now stroking Fawkes’s plumed golden head with one finger. The phoenix awoke immediately. He stretched his beautiful head high and observed Dumbledore through bright, dark eyes.

‘We will need,’ Dumbledore said very quietly to the bird, ‘a warning.’

There was a flash of fire and the phoenix had gone.”

Detta bevisar att, medan både Dumbledore och Fawkes kan vara Apparate och Disapparate i Hogwarts, var Fawkes ansvarig för den specifika försvinnandet från Fudge och Umbridge.
