Jag levererar här en relevant del av en forumtråd angående odödligheten hos dödliga som skickar till Undying Lands. Det verkar som om Christopher Tolkien använde många av sin fars bokstäver för att ackumulera en skön kunskap om Middle Earth och dess regler i The Silmarillion , men att vissa bokstäver specifika för Frodo och Bilbo Baggins liv och död var oklart, (kanske avsiktligt så - min tolkning - hela tråden är en mycket intressant läsning).

Men formuleringen här är lite oklart. Det kan vara att de var ett undantag för att bara odödliga skulle tillåtas där, eller de kunde vara ett undantag till det faktum att det inte orsakade dödliga att leva för alltid.
Det har varit ganska länge sedan jag läste LotR och The Silmarillion , men jag tror inte Frodo och Bilbo skulle leva för alltid. De har bara ett trevligt ställe att dö.
