Vi ser ofta i filmer att skurken kidnappar huvudpersonens familjemedlemmar (eller flickvän) och hotar att komma till honom. Annars kommer de att dödas. Detta händer vanligtvis i filmens klimax. Protagonisten kommer dit, kämpar med skurkarna (eller dödar dem) och tar sina familjemedlemmar hem säkert. Lyckliga ändringar.
Till exempel, i Spider-Man 2 och Spider-Man 3 , kidnappades Mary Jane Watson av Doctor Octopus respektive Sandman, Brock. Genom att visa henne som bete, försöker de ta Spider-Man till dem.
Vi kan också hitta många referenser av denna typ i indiska filmer av drama också.

The reasons for this vary. Sometimes, it's because one of the hero's True Companions or a Love Interest is being held hostage, and the hero can't turn his back on them.
