I Eberron under "The Last War" House Deneith, liksom alla drakemärkta hus, förblev neutrala och sålde sina tjänster till de högsta budgivarna. Men som legosoldater / soldater kan detta leda till några unika problem.
En av dem är: vad skulle hända om två motsatta länder båda hade husdeneithsoldater som de hade anställt mot varandra på samma slagfält? Skulle House Deneith legosoldater slåss mot deras släkt på motsatt sida eller hade de några kontraktsmässiga begränsningar för sina tjänster som uteslutit en sådan möjlighet?
Har denna situation någonsin tagits upp i något officiellt material?

After the outbreak of war among the Five Nations, House Deneith was thrust into a precarious situation: Its services were more in demand than ever, but it could not provide those services to all that desired them without sending mercenaries to fight each other. Taken to an extreme, the Last War could have evolved into a conflict fought entirely by opposing groups of Deneith mercenaries. Even in the absence of that extreme case, House Deneith was hard-pressed to avoid the same kind of schism that tore House Phiarlan into two houses.

By unwritten code, Deneith forces did not engage other Deneith forces on the battlefield, and at least three minor battles during the war ended with only small groups of Deneith mercenaries left on both sides of the conflict.

By unwritten code, Deneith forces did not engage other Deneith forces on the battlefield, and at least three minor battles during the war ended with only small groups of Deneith mercenaries left on both sides of the conflict.
Kort sagt, Deneith commanders skulle undvika strategiska möten och inte hålla kontakt med varandra för att undvika "peeking" på vad deras motståndare var upp till ... men Deneith Mercenaries skulle helt enkelt inte slåss mot varandra.
