Svagheten är fortfarande densamma (se sid 59 av V20). Så jag trodde först att det skulle bero på den typ av kamera som användes. Men kommentaren från T.J.L var en utlösare att gräva djupare:
Cameras do not use reflections to take pictures. SLR cameras use mirrors to change the axis of the image coming in through the lens and direct it up to the viewfinder. When the shutter is triggered, the mirrors move out of the way to expose the film (or CCD) to the light coming in through the lens. If the restriction is specifically mirrors, then you would not be able to see such a vampire through the viewfinder, but you would be able to take a picture of them, regardless of the camera (assuming it was pointed in the right direction anyway).
Från min grävning genom hur kameror fungerar verkar det som om de flesta moderna (som de senaste 20 åren) kamerorna (film, digital aldrig kommer att få problem) skulle ha inga problem med att ta bilder av vampyrer.
Hela hela kamerans regler verkar inte ha en fast verklig grund. Jag antar att denna stadsmyt lanserades för att skydda maskeraden vid oavsiktliga bilder.
