Vad är Frankensteins monster gjord av i den ursprungliga romanen?

Det verkar som om alla andra här har mycket bra tagit upp den första halvan av denna fråga och avgjort hur Frankensteins skapelse / monster / "son" byggdes. (För enkelhetens skull använder jag det populära smeknamnet "Adam" här för att hänvisa till det skapade varelsen). Men det verkar som om jag eller de har missförstått Dr. Victors rädsla och hans senare utbyte med Adam.

Det är sant att texten visar att Victor tydligt fruktade att hans handlingar skulle möjliggöra mer omänskliga och nästan oövervinnliga varelser att komma in i världen. Men han sa aldrig specifikt att de skulle göra det genom biologisk reproduktion. Denna text är från direkt innan Victor förstörde den andra skapelsen:

“I trembled and my heart failed within me, when, on looking up, I saw by the light of the moon the daemon at the casement. A ghastly grin wrinkled his lips as he gazed on me, where I sat fulfilling the task which he had allotted to me. Yes, he had followed me in my travels; he had loitered in forests, hid himself in caves, or taken refuge in wide and desert heaths; and he now came to mark my progress and claim the fulfilment of my promise.”

Jag har alltid läst detta inte bara som ett uttalande om att Adam spårade Victor, men att han studerade processen genom vilken hans slag görs. Kom ihåg hur lätt han lärde sig att prata? Detta skulle innebära att handlingen att skapa en steril följeslagare för Adam kunde ha gjort det möjligt för honom att göra mer.

Och även om hon var infertil, var Victor inte bekväm med att det var en Adam, mycket mindre två. Även om Victor kunde ha garanterat att deras nummer aldrig skulle gå över två, var det ingen garanti att hon ensam inte skulle vara en demon och ett monster för mänskligheten.

"Monsteret" är tillverkat av olika kroppsdelar, antingen de som samlas fräscha från kyrkogården eller de som lagrats för framtida bruk. Den goda doktorn gör upprepade referenser till hans "material" , det här är hans eget coy uttryck för kroppstyckena han skördar från lik.
