Sidious' interest in the Unknown Regions continued. This came to a head when the crew of the Venator-class Star Destroyer Strikefast, under the command of Captain Voss Parck, encountered the Chiss known as Thrawn in Wild Space. Many years earlier, Anakin Skywalker told Palpatine of this alien and how they worked together. This alien claimed to have a great deal of knowledge on the Unknown Regions. Thrawn was then brought before Sidious on Coruscant in order to be questioned. Thrawn told the Emperor of threats lurking within the Unknown Regions and how they might one day find the Empire and offered his military skills. Sidious then deduced that Thrawn's intentions were to help protect his people from these threats. Som sekundära frågor: Är han relaterad till ett supervapen Sidious letade efter och / eller Thrawn? Är allt detta sammankopplat? Vem leder som? Jag vet att det kanske inte finns tillräckligt med information för att avgöra någonting av dessa saker, just nu, om det finns något jag saknade.
Det är känt att Snoke spelade en roll i evakueringen av vissa imperialistiska styrkor i den okända regionen i galaxen. Det finns dock inga kanonkällor som säger att Snoke är inblandad i Operation: Cinder, som beställdes av döda Palpatine.
Eftersom Force Awakens händer 30 år efter Jedi-återkomsten, och eftersom det bara gjordes för att säkerställa att imperiet inte överlevde Palpatine, kan vi anta att Snoke inte hade någon roll i det.
Eftersom vi inte vet säkert vilka Snoke är, kan vi inte anta att han var involverad i imperiet alls (speciellt eftersom han inte sa något av det, "avsluta vad imperiet startade" skit och vi skulle antagligen ha märkt honom minst om han var en del av imperiet i den ursprungliga trilogin).
