“There seems to exist an invisible ‘material’ that exits the human body at the moment of death. It has quantifiable mass which is unimpeded by physical barriers. I must assume it moves in a dimension I cannot yet perceive.”

Det har varit ett tag sedan jag läste det, men IIRC din beskrivning av den gamla mannen i lådan som vägdes vid dödsfallet är hur GSP upptäcktes. Tyvärr är alla utom några av mina hårkopia böcker packade bort just nu och jag ser inte "The Gasp" som en ebook på de vanliga platserna.
