Att stormtropparna alltid verkar ha obefläckade rengjorda uniformer, hur rengörs de och av vem? Har de bara utgått med nytt redskap för varje uppgift?
Implikationen är att Stormtroopers ansvarar för ytlig rengöring av egna redskap. De rensar sina egna vapen, åtminstone inom sina kaserner, med lag av " techs " och tar hand om eventuella faktiska störningar.
Finn knew the layout of the dark flood tunnels like he knew how to clean his rifle. He could travel through the maze with a blast shield over his eyes and still get where he wanted to be.
Det noteras i "Official Star Wars Fact Files" att rustningen i sig är oerhört hållbar och mer än kapabel att bestå för soldatens livstid. Underhåll bör inte vara mycket mer än att helt enkelt torka det med en fuktig och torr trasa

Observera att Finn och hans kompisar är rookies och att det var Finns första kamp upp. Troligtvis såg de andra stormtropparna inte heller mycket åtgärd, därför är deras rustning helt ny och ren.
I Star Wars: Clone Wars kan vi se att deras föregångare, som har spenderat mycket tid på fältet, faktiskt har slitit och repat rustning.
