How är TV-shows uppståndna?

Det beror allt på pengar, talang och licenskontroll. Produktionskontrakt kan vara mycket komplicerade eftersom det kan finnas många spelare: skaparna, tillverkarna, produktionsbolagen, nätverken, författarna, aktörerna etc.

Här är ett utdrag ur Wikipedia-artikeln på TV-serier Skador :

Due to the low ratings and high costs, it was speculated early that Season 3 might be the show's last. However, Sony reached an agreement with DirecTV to share the cost of future seasons with its Audience Network (formerly The 101 Network and originally Freeview). Other outlets were also approached about sharing the cost of a new season. However, no other network opted to pick it up, leaving Audience Network the new broadcaster.

Detta är ett typiskt scenario. I annat fall kan avbokning komma från ett nätverk men återupplivningen kan bero på skaparen / författarna / aktörerna. Här är flera utdrag från Wikipedias artiklar på Arrested Development :

During the series' third season in 2006, despite months-long rumors of Arrested Development having been picked up by the cable television network Showtime, creator Hurwitz declined to move the show to another network. As Hurwitz explained, "I had taken it as far as I felt I could as a series. I told the story I wanted to tell, and we were getting to a point where I think a lot of the actors were ready to move on." ... He also said, "If there's a way to continue this in a form that's not weekly episodic series television, I'd be up for it".

Six years after the series was canceled by Fox, filming for a revived fourth season began on August 7, 2012. The season consists of 15 new episodes, all debuting at the same time on Netflix on May 26, 2013...

Och från en Business Insiderartikel om återupplivningen :

Netflix CEO Reed Hastings revealed during an investors conference Monday the show will be getting a short one season stay on the streaming website. ... A spokesperson expanded on Hastings' comments telling the Wall Street Journal it would be "extremely difficult to get the cast together" again for anything more.

Som du kan se i det här fallet ligger det mesta av kontrollen av Arrested Development i händerna på sin skapare, Mitchell Hurwitz, men att få skådespelarna tillbaka för mer var också en utmaning.

I ett annat exempel var Terra Nova en tv-serie som avbröts och gjorde får inte plockas tillbaka på grund av sin höga produktionskostnad:

Fox canceled the series in March, three months after its finale, with Netflix circling the property for a brief period before abandoning the expensive effort.

Som ett annat exempel avbröts Seinfeld inte, men slutade eftersom Jerry Seinfeld var redo att göra med serien. NBC skulle ha älskat att fortsätta serien eftersom dess betyg var mycket höga :

He refused NBC's offer of $5 million per episode, or more than $100 million total, to continue the show into a tenth season. Seinfeld told the network that he was not married and had no children, and wished to focus on his personal life.

The show became the first television series to command more than $1 million a minute for advertising–a mark previously attained only by the Super Bowl.

Baserat på några av ovanstående exempel, här är dina frågor:

Kan någon förklara hur avbrutna visningar kan komma tillbaka på olika nätverk?

• Om skaparen och aktörskontrakten tillåter det, och ett annat nätverk vill ha för att täcka utgiften.

Vad jag menar är vem som äger rättigheterna till showen, nätverket eller produktionsbolaget?

• Beror mycket på många faktorer.

Och för det ändamålet dras aktörerna och kreativerna via nätverket eller produktionsbolaget?

• Avhänger avtalen.

Och kanske viktigast, vad är tidsramen för att en show måste återgå till ett nytt nätverk när det har blivit inställt eller avbrutet av sitt nuvarande nätverk?

• Om ett nätverk äger licenskontrollen för en serie, och de avbryter det är upp till dem om de bestämmer sig för att sälja det eller inte. Om de välja inte, då ser du förmodligen aldrig showen igen. Om Skapare eller producenter behåller vissa licensrättigheter, och de vill försök att fortsätta serien, de kan försöka handla den runt. I ett ovanligt fall med Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt Serien kommer att flyttas före det har till och med en chans att flyga . När NBC inte tryckte ut showen som det ursprungligen planerades, kallade skapare / producenter Tina Fey och Dave Miner Netflix för att se om de var intresserade:
